Biography

Dr. Josè R. Goris teaches the following graduate courses: Organizational Behavior, International Management, and Management of Not-for-Profit Organizations. His teaching responsibilities also include the following undergraduate classes: Management & Organization, International Management, Multicultural Business Relations, and Business Strategy & Decisions. 

Professor Goris earned a Ph.D. in Organization Theory and Policy from the University of North Texas. He holds an M.B.A. in Industrial and Interpersonal Relations from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico; an M.A. in Educational Administration from Loma Linda University; and a B.A. in Business Administration from Antillean Adventist University, Puerto Rico.

Previous to working at Andrews University, Professor Goris worked for Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, Texas as the MBA Director, Chair of the Business Department, and Management Professor. He also worked at the Inter American University of Puerto Rico as a Professor of Management, the MBA Director, and an Academic Dean. Other institutions he has worked for include Montemorelos University in Mexico, University of Puerto Rico, Antillean Adventist University, Texas Christian University, Southern California Conference, and Southeastern California Conference. He has also taught graduate business courses in Kenya, Ukraine, Italy, Trinidad, Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Perú, and Chile.

Professor Goris has offered consulting services to not-for-profit and for-profit organizations in Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and the U.S.
