- "Financial Indicators: What the Research Did Not Show." Presented by Dr Ann. Gibson at the Beyond the Bottom Line Conference sponsored by Andrews University School of Business Administration, the North American Division, and the North Pacific Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, held in San Diego, CA, March 9-11, 2008.
- "Navigating the New Audit Standards: The Risk Assessment Suite." A four hour presentation by Dr. Ann Gibson on SAS 103-114 to the General Conference Auditing Service at their International Auditing Conference held in Chiang Mai, Thailand, January 21, 2008. The same was presented to the North American Division Treasurers at their annual spring meeting held in Greensboro, NC on April 15, 2008.
- "The Who, What, Why, Where, When, How, and More of Accounting Fraud." Presented by Dr. Carmelita Troy at the Beyond the Bottom Line Conference sponsored by Andrews University School of Business Administration, the North American Division, and the North Pacific Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, held in San Diego, CA, March 9-11, 2008.
- "Is There a Link between Accounting Fraud and Merger and Acquisition Activity?" Presented by Dr. Carmelita Troy at the 2008 Southeast Regional Meeting of the American Accounting Association held in Birmingham, AL, April 4, 2008.
- "The Spiritual Dimension of Quality: A Biblical Perspective." Presented DR. Ben. Maguad at the American Society of Business and Behavioral Sciences 15th Annual Meeting held in Las Vegas, NV. February 21-24, 2008. Received the "Best Paper of Track Chairs" award.
- "Lean Strategies for Education: Overcoming the Waste Factor." Researched by Dr. Ben. Maguad and published in Education, Winter 2008 128:2 pp 248-255.

Other News
The following students were inducted into the Delta Mu Delta Business Honors Society on April 10, 2008: Deni Conkell, Amanda DeMercy, Ja-yeon Hwang, Maurice Jagan, Paul Parmentier, Eulanie Rogers, Lizzy Salazar, Zenika Simons, Dinorah Ulloa.
The School of Business Administration held its 8th Annual Awards Banquet on April 17, 2008. A total of eighteen awards were given to deserving students.
School of Business senior students averaged at the 75th percentile on the 2008 National ETS Business Test. This Major Field Test covers nine business areas. The School scored at the 80th percentile in four of the nine areas, viz. management, marketing, legal and social issues, and international issues.
