ª      We are sad to announce that Cynthia Burrill’s mother, Mrs. Rosalind Hartland, died on June 6 following an illness. Please join us in expressing our condolences to Cynthia and Russell Burrill and their family.

ª      Alice Cox, wife of Dr. James Cox, former chair of the New Testament Department, died on May 29. She had lymphoma in her brain. The Coxes have been residing at 485 Arrowhead Place, Lake Mary, Florida 32746-5104. Please remember the Cox family in your prayers.

ª      Thank you for continuing to pray for needs among our Seminary family including:

o        Dr. Jon Dybdahl.  Please pray for Jon, Kathy, and Jon’s father

ü      Job opening in Bangkok – The Bangkok International Church is searching for a pastor to begin work in September 2004. If you are interested in serving in the 10/40 window, please contact Dr. Thomas Gerald Kea via email at jerryk@eis.ac.th.

ü      All Seminary wives are invited to participate in the Pastors’ Wives Peer Support small group hosted by the Seminary Women’s Ministries club. ü      Seminary Doctoral Club Invitation – Calling all Seminary Doctoral students (PhD/ThD, RelEd, DMin), faculty members and their families to a relaxing Sabbath at Lions Beach Park* on July 10, 2004. The day will begin with a South African Braai (the absolutely best African Safari food available) cooked over an open fire. This will be followed by a penetrating examination of the Sabbath School lesson led by leading experts on the topic of relationships. Potluck will follow at 1:30pm and the day will conclude with a walkabout led by Warren Johns. Come for the whole day or only a part. Those planning to come for brunch (Braai is provided by the club), PLEASE R.S.V.P. to karen@andrews.edu and plan to bring a cutting board and knife. Everyone, please bring your favorite potluck dish (enough for your family and three others), chairs and/or blankets. And don’t forget the sunscreen and water for the walkabout. See you there! (*in St. Joseph, turn left on Price St. from MI 63, turn right on Lake Blvd., turn left on Lions Park Dr., follow to beach).

ü      An Old Testament Department study tour is being planned for the first session of Summer Semester 2005. Countries to be visited include Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, Morocco and Greece. If you are interested in participating, please contact Dorothy Show in N111.
