Issues in Ellen G. White Studies is an orientation into contemporary
issues related to the ministry and writings of Ellen White. Among the issues
discussed in this course are: Ellen White''s role and ministry, her
understanding of her inspiration and her authority, her methods of writings and
use of theological and historical sources, her use of literary assistants, rules
of hermeneutics, her role in the development of Adventist doctrines and
lifestyle, and her relevance for today''s Seventh-day Adventist church.
Prerequisite:
GSEM532-- Life and Ministry of Ellen G. White, or CHIS504--Adventist Heritage, or their equivalent.
