I was born in Atlanta Georgia. We lived within walking distance of both sets of grandparents. When I was almost seven my dates was transferred by UPS to southern California. I grew up there in a neighborhood surrounded with other children my age. Every summer when school was out I would get on a plane and head back to Georgia to spend the summer with my grandparents. My mother was a second generation Adventist and raised my brother and I to be Adventist. Though my father often attended church with us once we moved to California (when we still lived in Georgia he spent Sabbath with his folks) he was not a baptized Christian. The move to California was devastating to my brother and he soon began to suffer from chronic anxiety and panic attacks. I went from 1-12 at Orangewood Academy and then on to Loma Linda University- La Sierra Campus.
