  • The voice of postmodernism is calling the Seventh-day Adventist Church to embark on a new journey towards multiethnic/ multicultural churches and away from the mono-ethnic/mono-cultural churches that are so prominent. This passage will not be easy, for it will require a paradigm shift from ingrained patterns of belief and organizational structure. It will necessitate the embracing of what DeYoung (2003) refers to as “a theological worldview that can direct and sustain multiracial congregations . . .”
