Andrews Filipino International Association
Andrews Filipino International Association (AFIA) is a club on the campus of Andrews University that promotes Filipino culture, values, and traditions to the students of the campus and the people of the community. AFIA aims to create a diverse network of connections and relationships, bringing together anyone who may be interested in Filipino culture through a variety of events and programs.
The 2015 Food Fair will represent 82 countries and 18 ethnic clubs. Participating clubs include the Korean Club, Peruvian Club, Brazilian Club, Indian Club and Haitian Club, Filipino Club(AFIA) among many others.
Purchase tickets in blocks of $5 to be used to obtain food at each booth. Cash transactions won’t be accepted at the booths and ticket sales will go to the respective clubs; some of the clubs use their earnings for scholarship funds to assist students and others use the funds for mission projects.
"We look forward to see you at the AFIA booth, try some Boba, pancit, egg rolls, you won't regret it"
Time: Noon - 7pm
Location: Johnson Gym on the Campus of Andrews University
In addition to providing you with great food, and a great experience for the Andrews campus and the Berrien Springs community, we are also hoping to provide support for the students of Central Philippine Adventist College (CPAC) through the donation of bibles.
CPAC students hold evangelistic programs, as well as Bible studies around their community. They have been able to bring many souls to Christ and they are hoping to continue with their work. We would like to support our peers in their endeavors by raising funds to purchase Bibles needed for their next evangelistic program in October.
We are hoping you will offer your support in terms of a monetary contribution that will go towards overall expenses for Food Fair and expenses for our project with CPAC. Unless stated otherwise, your contribution will aid both the expenses for Food Fair, as well as our project with CPAC. Contributions and donations may be forwarded to the address listed below.
Thank you for supporting AFIA! Your contribution to this event is greatly appreciated. Join us in striving to create connections and relationships with not just the students of our campus, but also with the people in our community.
