To have a course offered online it needs to be approved by the Distributed Education Subcommittee. Fill out a self-evaluation on the course and email the form to dlit@andrews.edu.

Moodle
Moodle is the NEW LEARNING MANAGEMENT TOOL used at Andrews.

Desire 2 Learn (D2L)
D2L is the learning management tool used at Andrews.

Suggestions for online resources:
The DLIT suggests that faculty follow the general guidelines below when making copyrighted materials available online to students.

• Be concerned about the following educational resources
  Materials with copyright protection under the law includes: journal articles, book chapters, photographs, artwork, music, etc.
• Maintain all student materials behind a password protected area (i.e., D2L)
  This is primarily directed to resources that may be subject to copyright.

  This article compares face-to-face classes with online learning.
• MERLOT - Multimedia Educational Resources for Learning and online Teaching
  The website provides links to an abundance of usable educational resources for many different fields.
