Doing Stage

Theoretically, the Doing Stage takes the plans developed during the Thinking Stage and turns them into an actual product--an online course. This stage starts (see graphic) with Mission. While "Mission" is not a formal step of the Doing Stage, it would be wise to review the plans developed in the Thinking Stage to see if they will indeed accomplish the intended purpose of the course. This stage will walk you through three steps (briefly described below) towards a quality, Adventist Christian online course.

Construct Course (5)
During this step the plans that have been designed during the thinking stage turn into actual course construction, or course development. It would be unwise in actual practice to think that nothing was constructed in the course until the Thinking Stage was completed; this would be utterly untrue. Therefore, while much of the course construction will be done after first passing through the thinking stage, the user should realize that in this first pass, many pieces of course construction may very well have been done.

Implement Course (6)
Here it all comes together for the pilot/test implementation of your course.

Outcomes Evaluation (7)
This step is extremely important, but often left out. Reviewing the results of the first pilot/test implementation of the course, would allow changes to be made to the course to better reflect the intended outcomes, goals, and objectives while working towards the mission of the institution.
