Biography:
I have three wonderful small children and feel blessed that the Lord has provided me with the opportunity of raising them in a small Adventist Educational community like Berrien Springs, MI. This is extremely meaningful for me since I have spent most of my personal and professional years in educational institutions. I am a four year graduate of Pine Forge Academy in Pine Forge, PA which is the only African-American Seventh-Day Adventist boarding school in America. After graduating I went to Oakwood College, now Oakwood University, for four years. Upon completion of my bachelor’s degree I went to Chuen Chun, Korea where I served as student missionary teaching English and Bible for sixteen months. I returned to New York City and eventually got a job as Assistant to the Treasurer at Northeastern Academy. I served as an adjunct instructor for several years at Columbus, OH. I am happy to now be a member of the Andrews University staff and faculty family and look forward to serving in a meaningful capacity that brings honor to God and positively serves this institution and my fellow man.
Current Research or Professional Activities:
My primary educational and professional pursuit is the completion of my Ph.D. in Curriculum and instruction. My current research is in professional development for higher education faculty and minority students in STEM majors. By the grace of God I will begin writing my dissertation in January of 2013.
