Biography:

Upon completing his elementary and secondary schooling in both Germany and Croatia, Ante enrolled into the theological program at Adriatic Union College (Croatia) to pursue his theological studies. After a couple of years he left together with his wife for South Africa where he eventually completed a BA in Theology at Helderberg College. There he continued with his graduate studies by enrolling into the Department of Religion at Stellenbosch University. His MA thesis focused on exploring the applicability of Bernard Lonergan's thought for addressing questions on the nature and purpose of theological inquiry, and how in turn those questions interface with the way we think about theological formation. Subsequently he moved to the United States to begin his doctoral studies at the University of Chicago Divinity School where he is currently completing his PhD dissertation titled "A Peaceable Logic of Integration: J'rgen Moltmann's Anthropology and the Postmodern Self." Ante is an ordained minister in the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and as such has had the privilege of pastoring different churches in the Chicago land area. Before joining the Department of Religion in Fall of 2006 he served in the capacity of an associate pastor for discipleship at the Hinsdale Adventist Church (Hinsdale, IL). When asked what the central focus of his ministry is, he responds: "I want people to understand something of the greatness of our God, and the fact that genuine human flourishing is entirely dependent on making the pursuit of him the all-consuming passion of our lives."
