Biography:
Ruben Munoz-Larrondo is Assistant Professor of Biblical Studies in the Religion and Biblical Languages Department at Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Mich. He joined the Andrews faculty in 2006.Born in Chile, where he graduated and worked as an Electrical Engineer. After immigrating to the US. to study theology, Ruben has received several degrees: Master of Arts in Theological Studies (NBTS 1990), MDiv (Andrews 1993), Master of Arts (2005) from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN, where presently he is writing his PhD dissertation -- "Living in Two Worlds: A Postcolonial Reading of the Book of the Acts of the Apostles."
Ruben is a member of the Society of Biblical Literature, American Academy of Religion, and the Adventist Society for Religious Studies. Recipient of the Hispanic Theological Initiative's awards, Princeton, NJ. An ordained minister, he has served as a District Pastor for 10 years in the Carolina and Kentucky-Tennessee Conferences. He teaches Greek, Acts of the Apostles and Pauline Studies, Honors-Scripture, Personal Spirituality and Faith.
He is married to Angelica Briceno Munoz. They have three children (Paulina, Ruben Andres, and Constanza).
