The Division of Integrated Marketing & Communication provides web services to the campus of Andrews University. The position of Web Coordinator was created in 1998 to provide leadership and guidance to the Andrews community by giving instruction about using the web as a communication tool for both internal and external audiences. The main goal is to promote the school through an integrated marketing and communication approach, with the web as primary medium. The site seeks to unify and strengthen the university brand with a professional, usable and visually appealing user experience.
One of the most recent and visible improvements was a significant redesign of Andrews' main web site, http://www.andrews.edu/, which was launched April 19, 2005. This renovation was the first phase of an effort to redefine the site, which is under constant development and expansion. University-wide web elements for Andrews are directed through the homepage including the University Events Calendar and the Future Students website.
The Division oversees several other responsibilites as well including consultation and guidance for major web communication projects throughout Andrews, such as large-scale redesign projects and examinations of marketing strategies. Also, the Web Coordinator played a key role in the selection and purchase of a web content management system for Andrews (CMS), and manages its overall administration and governance.
