Faculty Activity Report (FAR) Information: Annual Faculty Research/Creative Activity (FAR) Awards have been established to recognize research and creative achievement of Andrews University faculty members. Awards are given to each faculty member who submits an annual Faculty Activity Report with scored activities.
Faculty Research Grant (FRG) Information: Andrews University, through the Office of Research and Creative Scholarship, competitively awards Faculty Research Grants (FRG) on a yearly basis to qualified university faculty. University faculty members from all disciplines are encouraged to apply. The pre-proposal (recommended) submission deadline is January 31 with final submission due by February 28. Applications will be reviewed, and notification of awards made by March 31.
General Conference Grant Information: Occassionally, Faculty Research Grants are eligible for funding from the General Conference. In the event that a project is funded by the GC, all funds are routed through the Office of Research and Creative Scholarship
External Grant Information: The Office of Research and Creative Scholarship actively supports faculty in identifying funding sources and preparing effective proposals for external support. The Scholarly Research team will facilitate the development of competitive grant proposals to external foundations and agencies.
Undergraduate Research Scholar (URS) Information: The Office of Scholarly Research & Creative Scholarship awards Undergraduate Research Scholar awards of $1000 to undergraduates involved in an independent research project under the guidance of a faculty mentor, in the mentor’s area of expertise. The awards are available each semester of the academic year and during the summer.
