For undergraduate students who are giving research presentations (oral or poster) at a disciplinary professional meeting, such as the American Chemical Society meetings, the Office of Research will provide matching funds for actual expenses incurred, up to a total of $500 per student.
The Office of Research & Creative Scholarship has compiled a list of external grants and scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students.
Graduate Research Assistants may receive up to $1500 from a given faculty member's Faculty Research Grant. An additional $1500 in matching funds is available from the School of Graduate Studies for a total GRA of $3000.
Students involved in sponsored research are required to complete the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) training. Additional training and development opportunities are available such as online workshops, presentations, and articles.
The Office of Research & Creative Scholarship awards Undergraduate Research Scholar awards of $1000 to undergraduates involved in an independent research project under the guidance of a faculty mentor, in the mentor’s area of expertise.
