Incident Type: Missing Person
Synopsis:
On Friday, October 10th 2008 at approx. 15:12hrs., Public Safety responded to the report of a missing child. The complainant reported that she was doing her laundry when she noticed that her 4yr old daughter was missing. Shortly after this was reported, Public Safety discovered that the child was with her father in the Library. No further action was needed.

Location: PMC Parking Lot
Incident Type: Vehicle Accident
Synopsis:
On Saturday, October 11th 2008 at approx 10:23hrs., Public Safety responded to the PMC Parking Lot on the report of a vehicle accident involving a golf cart. It was discovered that the driver of the golf cart had left a juvenile male un-attended in the golf cart while he helped someone out of the vehicle. The juvenile then depressed the accelerator causing the golf cart to surge forward hitting a parking vehicle. There was no damage observed.

Location: Maplewood Apartments
Incident Type: Domestic Assault
Synopsis:
On Saturday, October 11th 2008, at approx. 21:09hrs., Public Safety responded to Maplewood Apartments in reference to a 911 call. Upon arrival Officers contacted a female occupant of the apartment and learned that she had call 911 after being struck by her husband. The victim reported that she and her husband were involved in an argument during which he struck her in the face several times. Public Safety remained on location until Berrien Springs Oronoko Police Department arrived. After the investigative process was completed the victim’s husband was arrested.

Incident Type: Reported Trespasser
Synopsis
On Sunday, October 12th 2008 at approx. 10:42hrs., Public Safety responded to the cornfield just off Dairy Road on the report of a trespasser in the cornfield. Upon arrival on location, Officer Giddings located and identified an adult male in the cornfield. The individual was identified as a visitor to the campus and he was bird watching. No further action was needed.

Location: Nethery Hall
Incident Type: Larceny of a Bicycle
Synopsis
On Monday, October 13th 2008 at approx. 10:19hrs., Public Safety was contacted by a student who reported that his bicycle was stolen from outside of Nethery Hall. The victim reported that he had placed his bike in a bike rack outside of Nethery Hall at approx 19:45hrs., on 10-11-08 while he attended classes. The victim stated that he returned for his bike at approx 23:00hrs., on this same date and discovered it was gone. The bike was not locked during the time of the theft. The bike is described as red and sliver in color mountain bike, with a silver bell mounted on the handle bar. The victim also stated that the rear tire had a white stripe on it. There were no witnesses to this theft.

Location: Andrews Academy Sports Field

Synopsis
On Tuesday, October 14th 2008 at approx. 16:43hrs., Public Safety was contacted by a complainant from Ruth Murdoch who reported that an individual who has been banded from the property of Andrews University, was on campus at the sports field behind Andrews Academy. Public Safety responded and stood-by on scene, until BSOT Police Department could arrive. The BSOT Police Department arrived and contacted the individual who was advised to leave the property and not return or he could face criminal charges.

Location: Lamson Hall
Incident Type: Larceny of a Bicycle
Synopsis
On Wednesday, October 15th 2008 at approx. 12:31hrs., Public Safety was contacted by the victim who reported that unknown person(s) had stolen her bicycle. The victim reported that she had parked her bicycle outside of Lamson Hall on October 14th 2008 in the evening hours. The victim reported that when she returned on October 15th, 2008 she discovered that the bicycle had been stolen. The bicycle was not registered with Public Safety nor had it been locked at the time of the theft. The victim could only describe the bike as an older bike with the color purple on it. No further information was known about the bike.
