Biography:

Mr. Buckley began his work in higher education in 1995.  His diverse professional experiences include:  residence hall administration, academic and personal counseling, fraternity and sorority affairs, diversity education and critical multiculturalism, student retention and success, leadership, men’s programs, student organization advising, mentoring, and more.  Additionally, Paul has served the church more directly as youth leader (Western New York Youth Leader of the Year in 2002), choir director and musician, and Education department leader.  Paul was recognized nationally for his development of a retention leadership model utilized in the WellsLink Leadership Program at Syracuse University, as a recipient of the Silver Award of Excellence from the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA). He is a member of the Golden Key and Phi Beta Delta international honor societies.

Current Research or Professional Activities:

Paul’s current research activities and interests focus on race in higher education, critical race theories, masculinity in education and faith expression, and youth development.  He has presented at conferences widely and fulfills public speaking engagements on college/university campuses and community events.
