Residency Program Costs
The cost of the program will be approximately $11,823. If the resident is not taking the NAIOMT courses at Andrews University (AU) the total amount may be a little less or a little more depending on how much the site charges for the NAIOMT courses.
The total cost of the residency includes:
- Tuition for 17 credits of postgraduate education from Andrews University (AU).
- University fees to allow continuous use of the online library services through AU during the 18 month duration of the residency program and the use of the online classroom services for online course delivery.
- Continuous mentorship through the 18 month duration of the program from AU faculty and NAIOMT faculty through online discussions and postings, email and phone.
- If you are employed at a facility with an OCS and they are willing to provide you with the 1:1 mentorship hours, this cost also includes the training of the facility staff who will be mentoring you. The training is performed by NAIOMT representatives and they will then work with the mentor throughout the duration of the program to answer all questions and make sure you are proceeding well. Obviously the cost then covers the 150 required mentorship hours.
- The oversight and set up of the 3 live patient examinations used as the final outcome measures of the program.
The cost does not cover any books required for your classes or travel expenses, etc that you may incur in attending the NAIOMT classes. You are charged per semester for the tuition, fees and NAIOMT clinical oversight. Current tuition at AU for this program is: $499per regular credit; $195per competency credit and $108 distance education fee per semester. Total cost of the NAIOMT clinical oversight and mentorship through the duration of the residency is $2,800 broken down into 5 semester payments of $560.
