Amazing
Grace
Jesus showered grace on people at every turn during
His life. Do we really know what grace is, do we
truly believe in it, and do we deeply recognize
it when we receive it? Are we able to pay the price
to extend grace to others, and if not, why?

The
One That Jesus Loves
The Apostle John's identity was rooted in being
"the one that Jesus loved." What is your identity?
From what source does your self worth come?

Landscapes
of Grace
The Good News is that God loves us. Because of our
genetic makeup, temperament, and early environment,
some of us grew up knowing deeply that we were loved
by God, while others of us grew up wondering if
God could possibly love us. As we grow older, we
visit both of these "landscapes" and many of the
ones in between as various things happen to us in
life. Grace abounds in every landscape, whether
or not we can feel it.

Saved—from
What?
Would you want to go to heaven and live forever
if Jesus were not there? Is salvation merely a free
ticket to live forever or does it mean becoming
part of the Kingdom of God? Is salvation a psychological
crutch we use to handle our fears of death, or do
we long to become part of a Society that runs on
the radical principles of Jesus Christ?

Facing the Judgment
We excel in wearing masks, deceiving ourselves and others about who we really are inside. Dishonesty enslaves us.
The Judgment will be a liberating event in which we finally can come to terms with ourselves as we really are,
humbly show our real selves to others, and yet love ourselves and know we are valuable simply because we are loved
infinitely by the Lord of the universe.

Reverence
Do we experience awe at the knowledge that God is present with us when we worship? Over the last three decades,
it has become common to talk out loud with neighbors during church, chat during communion, and even answer cell
phones during prayer. How do we regain a sense of awe at the holy presence of God, both in worship services and in our daily lives?

Listening to God in an Age of Noise
We are hounded by continual noise and distraction: cell phones are ringing, e-mails are popping up, faxes are coming in,
televisions dominate the room even on Sabbath, and traffic is roaring. How can we listen to God when scores of distractions
and multi-tasking duties are clamoring for our attention?
