Dr. Gerard Damsteegt is associate professor of church history at Andrews University

He enjoys teaching such classes as Development of Seventh-day Adventist Theology, Development of Prophetic Interpretation, Seventh-day Adventist Lifestyle, Early Church, and History of Sabbath and Sunday. He has enjoyed using Adobe Persuasion to video-project his computer-generated class lectures to his students. He has a varied educational background.

He leads Christian Heritage Tours through Europe

In his vacation time during the summer, his great delight is leading tours through Europe to discover the prophetic roots of Adventist heritage. On these tours participants experience the Protestant Reformation anew.

This has spawned a Great Controversy Project of making a CDRom.
