I am currently a junior at Andrews University working on a bachelor of fine arts in graphic design. Art and design plays a very big part in my life. Art is something that is all around you and I have and always will love it. As a child, arts and crafts were one of my hobbies. I have always enjoyed drawing, scrap booking, designing my own fonts and just simply creating little projects. Of course back then I didn’t know what I was doing. Through the years, this hobby developed into something much deeper and in high school I realized that art is something I want to do for the rest of my life. Being a typical Asian and having a typical Asian family, I was expected to major in something medical related but I was never interested in being a nurse or a doctor. I spent most of my high school in the Philippines and over there the colleges and universities were not really focused on art and their programs were not very good. So until my junior year of high school the people around me were not very supportive of my passion in art. When God brought me here my senior year, I was able to discover good art programs and that is when I knew that design was something He wanted me to do.
