Welcome to the world of computers, applications and programming. In these classes you will learn things like how to count in binary, how to practice safe computing, how many watts does it take to burn through 1/4" plywood, 3D printing, how to make your own shirts, the joys of the time value of money, what is a for loop, you want a list of what, and many other fun topics.
Computer Science I
This course emphasizes computers, computer applications and what we can do with these applicatons. Topics covered include computer hardware, security, web page creation, finance and statistics through spreadsheets, design work using laser engravers, 3D printers, and a vinyl cutter, and the internet.
Computer Science II
This course emphasizes computer problem solving using object-oriented design and programming. Students learn to approach problems systematically and approach solutions using well-known techniques of proven effectiveness. Students create modular programs using current programming languages.
