INTRODUCTION

In this section we will take a very close look at What Teachers Should Know and Be Able to Do. This is the site of the NBPTS (National Board of Professional Teaching Standards.

Why are we looking at teaching standards? Becausue as a supervisor you will be expected to know "good teaching" when you see it. you will also be expected to compare what you see in a classroom with the professional view of teaching excelence. Does the teaching you see measure up to commonly expected practices? Does the teaching that you see demonstrate excellence.? These are the answers we seek. Please look carefully at the site below
