The Metropolitan Museum of Art

New York City's version of the Louvre in Paris is so enormous it would take
half a day just to stroll though it various rooms, much less actually stop
and look at very much!  The drawing card for Kimberly,
our budding archaeologist, was the huge section on Egypt,
replete with mummies and the Temple of Dendur

The Temple of Dendur is an actual temple from ancient Egypt, saved from destruction on account of the Aswan High Dam in Egypt and permanently housed in New York under glass

Growing up in New York City is a cultural feast.
Dad misses it and now the kids have had a taste!
