Guidelines for Cooperative Work

 

When working in a group or with partner it is important that all members of the group play a role. Consensus is a strategy that involves everyone playing a role in decision making of the group. In order for this to be successful it is important to be open to compromise!

 

Here are guidelines:         

 

1.   Trust each other.

2.   Take turn to express ideas and opinions.

3.   Listen to a person while he/she express his ideas/opinion before making any comment.

4.   Help each other stay on the task and understand the topic, problem, or questions.

5.   It is OK to disagree don’t disagree because you don’t like someone. In order to reach an agreement you must be flexible and willing to give something up.

6.   Take appropriate time on this process. Rushing in decision making can lead to failure.
