Lessons from an Orchestra Rehearsal

  1. Sessions are held to solve problems - prepare for a good concert
  2. The conductor is well prepared with an agenda of goals and objectives - time is well-managed.
  3. Constraints from union or budget limit time and encourage efficiency. The rehearsal starts and ends on time.
  4. Limit distractions
  5. Keep as many involved as you can
  6. Pacing should be steady but not exhausting
  7. End by reviewing/solidifying - feel a sense of accomplishment
