Technology and Religion Instructor
Mario Ferguson is a native of the beautiful Island of Jamaica. Mr. Ferguson, the eldest of eight children, graduated from Andrews University with a degree in industrial technology emphasis automotive tech. He and his wife Heather have 2 children, Micah (14) and Malaika (11). Over the last 15 years he worked as a technical high school teacher with the Connecticut Technical High School System (Department Head for Collision Repair). Mr. Ferguson has served as a member of the Student Assistance Team which worked to equip young people with the coping skills needed to achieve academic success. He was also a member of the automotive collision repair steering committee of the state of Connecticut, for approximately 7 years. Mr. Ferguson was the recipient of the 2004 Oliver Wolcott Regional Vocational Technical School’s Teacher of the Year award. Mr. Ferguson is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity with a focus in Chaplaincy at the Andrews University Theological Seminary.
