Position summary
Lead Caregiver for Young Toddlers (One Year Olds)
Qualifications summary
Must have a minimum of a CDA with 480 hours experience. An Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
Duties and responsibilities
- Plans and executes Toddler curriculum designed to stimulate the learning and growth in the child's social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual development.
- Prepares a warm and safe environment that is orderly, clean, appealing, and permits the child to grow and to explore.
- Establishes and maintains good communication with parents with daily reports.
- Serves Meals and Snacks to children.
- Must adhere to all Lead Caregiver Responsibilities as outlined in the State of Michigan Licensing Rules for Child Care Centers.
Supervisory responsibilities
Supervised and guides assitant teachers and student aides.

Physical demands
- This job requires much physical activity and a high energy level. Must be able to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch and sit on the floor. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
