Position summary
Office Assistant will work with both faculty members and students. This person should manage and administer the social networks of the department. He/she will work very closely with the Chair of the Department.
Qualifications summary
- Highly developed administrative and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Fully fluency in both English and Spanish (speaking and writing)
- Knowledge of computer programs (word processing, excel, banner, power point)
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
Duties and responsibilities
- Organize schedules for faculty and student workers
- Manage appointments for faculty members
- Manage database for the Department of International Language Studies (including Facebook)
- Coordinate all office activities
- Respond to students’ inquiries
- Provide administrative support for faculty members
- Assist as a front desk receptionist for the Department of International Language Studies
- Contact students to provide updates related to their academic programs
- Communicate with ACA schools
- Assist in organizing social events for students
- Make posters to advertise academic and social activities
- Coordinate and organize the work of readers and lab instructors
- Keep a detailed record of all documents submitted for translations
Supervisory responsibilities
Make sure student workers complete their duties.
Qualifications
- Full fluency in English and Spanish (speaking and writing)
- Any additional language is welcome
- Skills to work with excel and adobe.
- Ability to design and make posters
- A Bachelor degree is a must
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.

This person should be able to walk to different buildings on campus.
Work environment
This person will be working in an office next to a classroom where sometimes videos are shown and recordings are played loud.
