Position summary
Responsibile for managing the undergraduate tutoring services through the Academic Tutorial Support course. This position is full-time during the school year (9 months - approximately 15 August to 15 May annually). Includes one evening per week 5-8 p.m. during semesters.

Duties and responsibilities
Manage tutor recruiting, hiring, training, supervision, scheduling, and overall quality by:
- Developing processes and application forms for hiring tutors and for students who request tutoring
- Developing and maintaining list of potential tutors
- Conducting background checks on all potential tutors
- Interviewing and hiring tutors
- Managing a staff of 50+ student worker tutors
- Serving as the Time Clock Manager for all student workers
- Verifies hours worked and posts them online
- Submits hours to Payroll
- Developing training modules/seminars for tutors
- Conducting tutor evaluations each semester
- Evaluating tutors and completing necessary evaluation forms for Student Employment
- Serves as the communication port from Student Success to all tutors, academic departments, professors, and Student Employment
- Ensuring that Academic Tutorial Support, GNST091 is on the class schedule
- Reserving classrooms for tutoring pairs
- Setting up tutoring appointments and verify attendance
- Maintaining accurate tutoring records, files, and database
Promotes UG Tutoring Services to the campus community
Serves as the professor of record for GNST091 Academic Tutorial Support class
Other tasks to support the Center and its staff (For example, serves as receptionist on occasion)

Qualifications
- Fifth year college or university program certificate; or several years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Mastery of written and spoken English
- Strong communication, interpersonal, problem solving, conflict resolution, and listening skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
- Leadership and team building skills
- Punctual and reliable, yet flexible
- Able to maintain confidentiality
- Able to maintain workflow with multiple interruptions in a fast paced, culturally and academically diverse setting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
