Position summary
This individual supervises and provides help for students in the MacLab at Harrigan Hall.
Qualifications summary
Familarity with Mac hardware, several software programs, the ability to work independently, and possess solid communication skills.
Duties and responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Assistant students in application/hardware problem solving.
- Maintain a functional, clean and clutter free work environment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on computers, including weekly cleaning of mouse, keyboards, and monitors.
- Sweeping, cleaning lab tables, changing lightbulbs, pushing in chairs at closing, empty trash, etc.
- Repair/report any hardware problem.
- Maintain supplies (paper in printers, markers for white boards).
- Develop a creative learning environment - display work on wall, etc. (Optional)

Qualifications
- Familiarity with Mac hardware and operating system.
- Able to work independently.
- Good communication skills.
- Intermediate understanding of the following software:
- Photoshop
- Illustrator
- Indesign
- Final Cut Pro X
- iMovie
- Word/Pages
- Keynote/Powerpoint

- If you cannot get to work, you are responsible for arranging a replacement with another lab assistant.

Should be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
