Position summary
The preferred candidate will supervise the MacLab as well as help students with different programs.
Qualifications summary
Familiarity with Mac hardware and operating system, abilitity to work independently, good communication skills, and an intermediate understanding of several computer programs.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assistant students in application/hardware problem solving.
- Maintain a functional, clean and clutter free work environment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on computers, including weekly cleaning of mouse, keyboards, and monitors.
- Sweeping, cleaning lab tables, changing lightbulbs, pushing in chairs at closing, empty trash, etc.
- Repair/report any hardware problem.
- Maintain supplies (paper in printers, markers for white boards).
- Develop a creative learning environment - display work on wall, etc. (Optional)

Qualifications
- Familiarity with Mac hardware and operating system.
- Able to work independently.
- Good communication skills.
- Intermediate understanding of the following software:
- Photoshop
- Illustrator
- Indesign
- Final Cut Pro X
- iMovie
- Word/Pages
- Keynote/Powerpoint

- If you cannot get to work, you are responsible for arranging a replacement with another lab assistant

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
