Position summary
This position requires a talented professional with the vision, experience and creativity to enhance the power of the Andrews brand through innovative website and digital communication strategies. The position is responsible for developing and implementing a robust website strategy while managing and coordinating internal and external resources, as well as ensuring the consistency of the Andrews brand in electronic media.

- At least five years of experience in web design or development
- Demonstrate skill in interactive design and development
- Proficient with graphics tools such as Photoshop, expertise in HTML/CSS
- A good sense of visual style and current trends
- Excellent skills in verbal and written communication, problem-solving, organization, teamwork and project management
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
Duties and responsibilities
- Creates the vision for the website and facilitates its execution by collaborating with IMC team members, Information Technology Services, the various schools and colleges and key service departments on campus.
- Provide day-to-day management and supervision of the web and photo team, including the staff photographer and web programmer, as well as creative and technology vendors/partners used for web projects.
- Establishes a basis for the visual design and production of web publications to coordinate with print publications.
- Works closely with Enrollment Management to ensure the web is utilized as a tool to meet the recruiting needs of the University.
- Uses technical skills in web development to minimize maintenance while allowing for ready incorporation of new or updated information or for periodic changes to design.
- Sets up procedures and controls to ensure that the University maintains high quality web support for the mission and image of the institution.
- In cooperation with the web committee, sets standards for any web pages that are part of the University web structure, or are connected to it, such as pages developed by departments, extraneous groups, individual employees or students.
- Coordinates contributions of the groups and individuals on campus who have expertise to contribute to the design, content, navigation and other technologies of the University web pages.
- Coordinates granting web access to departmental web authors and outside vendors.
- Promotes the use of the web by staff, faculty and students to serve academic and administrative functions of the University.
- Works with Information Technology Services staff to ensure that appropriate network, server, software and security measures are in place to support the University’s web structure.
- In cooperation with other administrative and academic groups within the University, establishes a structure and navigation plan for the University’s web pages.
- Serves on the University’s web committee and helps guide its activities.
- Manages the photographic services of IMC in collaboration with the IMC management team.
- Manages, refines and expands the development and integration of a content management system (CMS) solution for distributed content management across campus.
- Makes purchasing decisions for software, equipment and related tools as necessary for web management.
- Provides “big picture” planning and long-term strategy for the intersection of digital communication and overall communication and marketing goals of the University.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory responsibilities

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with courses in web design, graphic design, marketing, and programming OR the equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
Technical competencies
- Proven proficiency in all areas needed to perform job functions, including software and web programming languages used for the University's web pages.

- Excellent skills in verbal and written communication, problem-solving, organization, teamwork and project management
Physical demands
Should be able to contribute to regular needs of the office, which include lifting boxes of up to 40 pounds, moving furniture and various computer equipment.
Work environment
Work environment can be quite intense and noisy at times with two full-time and three to six student workers in the same general area.
