Position summary

Driver:

Primarily transporting students to and from the South Bend Airport, South Bend Bus, South Bend Amtrak Station, Niles Amtrak Station and Benton Harbor Bus Station.

Other day trips may become available based on departmental need.

Hours will vary.

Qualifications summary

You must apply at the Transportation Department in person.

Qualifications

* MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OF AGE.

* Have had a U.S. Drivers License for 3 years.

* A driver must dress according to SDA standards.

Technical competencies

It will be helpful to use the websites of various airlines, trains, and bus schedules to confirm if running on time.

Interpersonal interactions

Must be comfortable interacting with others:

*University guests

*Students

*Staff

*Faculty

Physical demands

Assisting in loading and unloading luggage.

 

Work environment

May need to drive during the day or night.
