Position summary

Assist in managing the functions of the Master of Divinity office.  Provide both academic and policy advice to students enrolled in the program.  Write, develop, and maintain effective web, electronic, written, and verbal communication with students, prospective students, faculty, and university departments.

Qualifications summary


  1. Fourth year college/university program certificate; or 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  2. Administrative experience required.

  3. Advanced skills in verbal and written English

  4. High levels of professionalism in performance, document presentation, speech, and personal presentation. Must have highly developed interpersonal relationship skills, be highly organized, and thrive in a fast-paced office environment.




Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.

Qualifications

  4. Ability to employ logic and critical thought with regard to academic policies and apply to them to complex real life situations.


  5. Hold highly developed project management skills and multi-tasking.


  6. Computer literacy skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher and PowerPoint.


  7. Proficiency in internal software like Banner and Redwood is desirable.


  8. Strong desktop publishing and web design skills.


  9. Ability to work collaboratively with a multicultural student group.


  10. Ability to work collaboratively with academics and leaders of the Seventh-day Adventist church.

Physical demands

Minimal physical requirements. Will need to be able to walk around the seminary building. Will need to be comfortable working at a computer for extended periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, type, reach, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.  Some lifting required, up to 30 pounds on occasion.  

Work environment

Will be sitting in an open office area with lots of interruptions and visitor traffic. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
