Position summary
The
Assistant Chaplain strives to develop engaging Friday night worship experiences to Andrews University's student body through University Vespers and Lighthouse. This will include building a systematic approach to programing that meets proximity goals, mentoring of student leadership, and collaboration with student organizations. This Friday night experience is meant to engage both undergraduate and graduate populations. Additionally through leaderhsip and engagement be inclusive of the diverse groups on campus ethnically, generationally, and worship styles.

- Should be a student in the seminary, preferably in youth/young adult emphasis or campus ministries/chaplaincy emphasis.

- Should exhibit high-level abilities in the area of interpersonal communications
- Should be internally driven
- Should possess project-management skills
Duties and responsibilities
The
Assistant Chaplain should be available 20 hours a week. This time will be spent planning and executing the Friday night experiences, including overseeing a team of students and campus partners. Additionally, they will attend at minimum 2 CM Adcom meetings per month, all CM team meetings and other committees as assigned.

Must be a graduate student at Andrews University in the seminary
