bring cows in from their lots to the milking parlor

(bending while shoveling/scraping)

cleaning and prepping cows for milking

cleaning parlor after milking

have good communication skills

have good time management (showing up on time etc.)

able to follow the lead milkers' promptings

willing to learn to be a team player

physically work 5-6 hour shift mostly standing

paying attention to details

understand and speak English

Technical competencies

ability to read the cow numbers and learn the codes on the keypad in the milking parlor

Interpersonal interactions

good communication skills

show respect and kindness to others (and cows)

Physical demands

ability to bend and shovel/scrape

standing for 5-6 hours

Work environment

The milking parlor is fairly quiet with just the noise of the machines pulsating.

the parlor is heated in winter but its still cold at times
