Position summary
We are looking for dedicated and responsible individuals who love children. You will be involved in all aspects the lunch process which includes getting the meals from Dining Services, distributing them to the classroom, washing the dishes after lunch and preparing the center's afternoon snack. Must be available Monday - Friday from 10:30 am - 2:30 pm.

- Must be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma.
- Must love children.
Duties and responsibilities
- This positoin will be trained to handle all aspects of lunch for the center.
- Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the kitchen area.
- Maintains the Crayon Box's professional attitude and work behavior.
- Observes all rules and regulations of The Crayon Box and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.
- Assists in other capacities, as determined by the Director.
- Follows the schedule, as determined by the Director.
Supervisory responsibilities
May supervise student workers, as determined by the Director
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma.
- Display a willingness to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the center's philosophy and mission.
- Job requires much physical activity and a high energy level.

Physical demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Will push lunch cart to the cafeteria and back daily in various weather conditions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
Work environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
