Position summary
The Onsite Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the leadership and management of the Andrews University Speech & Hearing Clinic. The Coordinator will work with other faculty, clinical supervisors, and staff to fulfill the vision of the University and department.
Qualifications summary
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Hold Michigan SLP licensure
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with culturally and linguistically diverse populations
- Proficiency with computer and web-based technology and educational learning systems
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
Duties and responsibilities
Essential duties include:
- clinical instruction/supervision of graduate students in accordance with ASHA/CAA standards;
- reviewing and evaluating performance of clinical instructors;
- screening requests for clinical services;
- overseeing scheduling and assigning clients to clinical instructors and graduate students;
- establishing and implementing policies and procedures;
- collaborating with the program in promoting optimal clinical education for students across the curriculum;
- assisting in clinical evidence-based (EBP) program development and clinical education;
- working with Program Director on budgeting and equipment needs;
- marketing services and developing new programs, as appropriate; eligible for teaching clinical/didactic courses.
Supervisory responsibilities
Clinical supervision of Graduate students and onsite clinic operations.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
