Position summary

The Onsite Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the leadership and management of the Andrews University Speech & Hearing Clinic. The Coordinator will work with other faculty, clinical supervisors, and staff to fulfill the vision of the University and department. 

Qualifications summary

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology 


• Current Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA 


• Hold Michigan SLP licensure 


• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English 


• Excellent interpersonal skills 


• Ability to work with culturally and linguistically diverse populations 


• Proficiency with computer and web-based technology and educational learning systems 


• Commitment to diversity and inclusion 

Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.

Duties and responsibilities

Essential duties include:

• clinical instruction/supervision of graduate students in accordance with ASHA/CAA standards;


• reviewing and evaluating performance of clinical instructors;


• screening requests for clinical services;


• overseeing scheduling and assigning clients to clinical instructors and graduate students;


• establishing and implementing policies and procedures;


• collaborating with the program in promoting optimal clinical education for students across the curriculum;


• assisting in clinical evidence-based (EBP) program development and clinical education;


• working with Program Director on budgeting and equipment needs;


• marketing services and developing new programs, as appropriate; eligible for teaching clinical/didactic courses. 

Supervisory responsibilities

Clinical supervision of Graduate students and onsite clinic operations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology 


• Current Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA

Technical competencies

• A minimum of three years of clinical experience. 


• Experience managing clinical professionals and support staff 


• Experience with fiscal management
