Position summary

Research assistant will create an annotated bibliography of further readings for an undergraduate textbook on the Gospels.

Qualifications summary

Duties and responsibilities

• Review chapters of a book manuscript and prepare a list of sources for recommended reading to appear with each chapter


• Confirm accuracy and completeness of bibliographic references


• Identify sources that can be referenced within the discussion of some chapters


• Prepare to write descriptions of the sources selected

Supervisory responsibilities

Qualifications

• Avid interest in textbook production and scholarship


• Acquainted with literature on the Gospels


• Advanced understanding of the format of a bibliography


• Superior written communication skills


• Self-motivated and able to work independently


• Detail-oriented and organized


• PhD Student, preferably in New Testament or Systematic Theology

Technical competencies

Experience with Microsoft Word

Interpersonal interactions

Will communicate regularly with in-house editor via e-mail
