Position summary
Responsible to manage the MAPM Hispanic Track program and the Institute of Hispanic Ministry in all its intricacies and demands. Serving Spanish Speaking pastors from the NAD who are registered for the MAPM program. Provide administrative support to teachers and academic counseling to students. Process administrative paperwork with accuracy.
Qualifications summary
- Secretarial experice required.
- Comunication skills in English.
- Spanish must be the second language with average.
- Ability to type 50 words a minute.
- Good computer skills (MS Word, Excel).
- Good Spanish writing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proactive and a team player.
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
Duties and responsibilities
- Manage the MAPM Hispanic Track Program in all its intricacies and demands.
- Update the MAPM Hispanic Track program's website, new class schedules and syllabi.
- Keep active lines of communication with extension sites, seven sites. Ascertain that classrooms are ready with proper teaching aquipment - with board, markers, projectors, etc.
- Retrieve from each professor the course syllabi for each. Twenty-eight courses per year.
- Instruct professors regarding travel and lodging arrangements for each class.
- Sent professors proper student registration list for each class.
- Retrieve for each professor original expense receipts and ascertain they get reimbursed for expenses and that they receive honoraria in a timely manner.
- Assist program applicants in the completion of the application documents.
- Provide currucular orientation to registered students regarding classes required to complete the program.
- Once all classes are completed, provide students orientationregarding graduation, dates, steps, etc.
- Be available to answer any question students may have regarding the program.
- Facilitate students' progress throughout the program.
- Keep the students' records updated.
- Maintain a well-organized file system for electronic and paper documents.
- Be ath the office for regular office hours Monday-Thursday (8 am to 5 pm) and Fridays (8 am to noon).
- Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
- Avoid private conversations with people, at the office, during regular working hours.

Qualifications
- Some college education and exposure to higher education (priority will be given to those with a college degree)
- Must be bilingual.
- Good computer skills.
- Proactive and a team player.
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
Technical competencies
- Keep and maintain the students' records updated.
- Able to use Banner and Redwood properly.
- Able to create and maintain multi-sheet spreadsheets.
Interpersonal interactions
Must feel and act confortably with all the people who interact with this office: students, faculty, and staff. Must have a warm and friendly personality, must be willing to help students according to their needs and interact on a professional level. We are looking for a team player who can fit confortably with the office atmosphere of the Seminary.
Physical demands
Must be an employee that successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
