Position summary

We are looking for a student with website development, maintenance, graphic design and video editing to improve the development website and social media outlet as well as work with hard copy material such as brochures.

 

Qualifications summary

The student applicant should have web/social media/computer skills.  The student should have excellent problem diagnosis skills and creative problem solving skils.

Duties and responsibilities

Convert and maintain the development website as envisioned, including embedded video.

Have awareness and some experience with social media diagnostic and analytic tools.

Work as needed on the development facebook page and /or other social media platforms.

Occasionally, documentation will need to be written.

Find and edit computer graphics.

Troubleshoot and resolve basic user issues regarding the website.

Keep work environment, systems, and equipment secure from abuse or misuse.

May be asked to perform data entry, record keeping, or other administrative tasks.

May be asked to help with graphic design for printed material such as brochures, post cards, Christmas cards, pledge forms, and photo books.

Participate in training sessions and staff meetings when requested.

Assist in website awareness and training for development employees.

Complete miscellaneous duties as assisgned.

Qualifications

Currently in a graphic design, computer science or related program; or has demonstrated required skills.

Problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills.

Customer service and communication skills.

Ability to work on your own or in a team environment.

Some knowledge of HTML or other code languages will be helpful.

Willing to learn the basics of philanthropy.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to multi-task within the contraints of timelines.

Thorough and precise with your work.

Be creative and imaginative.

Knowledge of Adobe Pro, InDesign, and Photoshop will be helpful.

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

May need to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.

Must be comfortable working with a team.

Good interpersonal and communication skills with team members; from time to time the student worker may also connect with donors and must use excellent customer service skills.

Work environment

The student worker will work at a desk in an office in the development suite in Griggs Hall.
