Position summary

Editorial assistant will check biblical references for accuracy. Semester-long project, but with the possibility of further employment.

Qualifications summary

Applicant must be well familiar with Scripture. Graduate student preferred but undergrads considered.

Duties and responsibilities

• Identify all references to Scripture throughout manuscripts.


• Check accuracy of references to Scripture.


• Confirm that paraphrased statements are not taken from a single translation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time student at Andrews University


• High level of attention to detail and quality of work, observant of discrepancies


• Avid interest in book production and scholarship


• Able to spend long periods of time on a single task

Technical competencies

Experience with track changes in Microsoft Word

Interpersonal interactions

Must be able to work collegially in an office setting with other immediate associates
