Position summary
Applicant will assist MA Religion Program Director and office Administrative Assistant with various office duties. Applicant must be able to work alone, be trusted to view confidential information and poses better than average clerical, communication, writing and organizational skills.
Qualifications summary
Several years of experience in an office environment; Andrews University experience preferred. Should have a 4-year degree or equivalent job experience. Must be a skilled multi-tasker, yet maintain attention to detail. Must have excellent communication skills; bilingual in one of the following languages is a plus but not required - Russian, Polish, and Cantonese.
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
Duties and responsibilities
- Greet and assist staff, faculty, students and visitors.
- Assist in researching MA Religion programs for bench marking and course development.
- Assist/Develop training materials for adjunct faculty and off campus extensions.
- Assist Adjunct Faculty in the creation of Learning Hub MA (Religion) Courses.
- Assist in updating and scheduling MAR calendar of courses.
- Assist MAR Administrative Assistant with student files and records.
- Assist MAR Administrative Assistant with assessment reports as needed.
- Clerical assistance as needed for MAR Administrative Assistant and Program Director.
Supervisory responsibilities
None.
Qualifications
- Several years of experience in an office environment; Andrews University experience preferred.

- Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, and web research experience is a plus.
- Experience with Andrews' systems (iVue, PreVue, Records) is very helpful.

Physical demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Will need to be able to travel around campus.
- Will need to be comfortable working at a computer for most of the day.
- Will need to be able to carry up to lift/carry 25 lbs., occasionally while walking
- Will need to be able to walk up and down stairs.
Work environment
You will be sitting in an office with interruptions and visitor traffic. The noise level in the work environment is low. Able to work in an office with shared space.
