Duties and responsibilities
The Proximity App Student Chaplain’s core responsibilities include:
- Oversite and execution of the Proximity App. (keeping content current, creating new content, updating offerings)
- Recruit and proximity app team.
- Attend Campus Miniseries training and retreat
- Attend all Campus Ministries team meetings
Additional secondary responsibilities will be assigned by the University Chaplain. S/he will look to the most current Campus Ministries (CM) organizational chart to find specific responsibilities for oversight/mentoring/supervision.

Qualifications
- The PASC is expected to attend all committee meetings called by the University Chaplain or listed on the CM organizational chart.
- All finances listed on the CM budget designated to the Proximity App Ministry will be overseen and managed by the PASC.

- Programming quality will be evaluated bi-weekly.
- Are the goals of the ministry well defined in writing and understood by all student volunteers?
- Are the student ministry volunteers meeting with the PASC on a weekly or bi-weekly basis?
- Quality of programming is being evaluated by student leadership and or participants.
- Numbers in attendance.
- Programs are expected to be advertised well in advance on the CM website, posters, Student Movement, Campus Center lobby screens, etc. For special event programs the use of area church bulletins, the Lake Union Herald, and Focus magazine is expected.
- The PASC is expected to seek excellence in every program and is responsible to execute and/or supervise programs under his/her direct line. A folder should be kept on every ministry in his/her down line on the 4020 drive. Contents should include, but are not limited to the following.
- Written, measurable goals of the ministry.
- Participant numbers from week to week or event to event.
- Student leadership names, e-mail, school and home address.
- Measurable outcome goals and expectations.
- Feedback from attendees should be gathered
- Survey should be created by the AC or his/her student chaplain to measure effectiveness
- Survey should be conducted by student leaders.
- Outcomes for all programs in the PASC’s direct line should be measured and shared with the University Chaplain.
- All programming under the leadership of the PASC should be Christ-centered, well organized. Programs should be led by properly trained staff, well- advertised, have measurable written outcomes, and financially managed within the written policy standards of AU and the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
- The PASC is expected to establish a positive working relationship with the larger CM team.
- The PASC will be formally reviewed twice a year by the University Chaplain. Additionally, a review by other student leaders in the Campus Ministries office will be given via a survey.
