Position summary
This position will be responsible for executing and deploying communication vital to university advancement strategy, as well as overseeing and managing specific projects and campaigns related to development, fundraising, and alumni relationships.

Duties and responsibilities
University Advancement
- Deploy existing marketing strategies through the internal email marketing platforms and other communication channels.
- Utilize registration database and other data sources to communicate with university constituents.
- Review and provide communication reporting as needed.
- Ability to assist in executing posts and advertising through social media channels.
- Oversee several specific projects including:
- Giving Tuesday implementation
- Honor class communication and gift
- Calling campaigns
- Philanthropy medallion and student philanthropic communication
- Coordinate with Development in Annual Giving campaigns
- Digital communication strategies
- Partner with Development with segmentation targeting
- Assist with Homecoming reunion tasks and weekend as needed
- Work closely with Advancement colleagues in Alumni, Development, and Trust Services
Supervisory responsibilities
Provides supervision and guidance to the student staff at the Office of Alumni Services as needed.

- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines.
- Motivated and self-starter.
- Able to work both independently and as a team.
- Familiar with market segmentation and able to create targeted campaigns based on segmentation strategy.
- Previous experience or willingness and ability to learn Banner and other database systems.
- Ability to learn and use new technology
- Successful criminal conviction check.

Interpersonal interactions
Must be comfortable interacting with students in a supervisory role when necessary. Must be able to interact with Alumni and over visitors to the Office of Alumni Services as well as with other colleagues.
Physical demands
The ability to function within a campus environment is required. Also important are good vision and hearing so that appropriate assessments can be made. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Should be able to contribute to regular needs of the office, which include lifting boxes of up to 40 pounds, moving furniture and other basic office tasks.
