Position summary
Proactively provides marketing support under the direction of the chief marketing officer/associate VP (CMO/AVP); provides administrative support to the CMO/AVP; works collaboratively with Marketing & Enrollment Management and University Communication and other entities on campus, as appropriate.

Duties and responsibilities
- Within the context of agreed-upon campus priorities, assist with the development of general and/or targeted undergraduate, graduate and distance enrollment marketing & communication strategies (both general and discipline/s specific) for Andrews University as assigned.
- Ensure projects are implemented and completed in a timely manner through strong project management skills
- Assist with writing accurate, effective, and persuasive copy for ads, web, social media, collateral, and other media.
- Provide marketing support for the call center, including but not limited to scripts and talking points
- Manage social media through planning, creating and posting content, and analyzing engagement metrics (in collaboration with University Communication)
- Provide administrative support to the AVP/CMO, including, but not limited to:
- Processing invoices for promotional material, contracts, vendors, and other enrollment marketing-related expenses.
- Developing and maintaining effective tracking system for prospective, existing and long-term enrollment marketing projects.
- Processing expense and credit card reports
- Scheduling meetings
- Ordering promotional giveaways and office supplies
- Tracking inventory of promotional giveaways
- As appropriate, take photos and videos for use in marketing material
- Assist with the creation of an annual calendar of enrollment marketing projects that will serve as the foundation for overall enrollment marketing initiatives.
- As appropriate, assess and respond to additional enrollment marketing initiative requests through consultation, guidance, project initiation and management.
- Directly collaborate with other Marketing & Enrollment Management staff to best understand points of connection and assure synergy
- Encourage, support and develop campus-wide understanding and use of enrollment marketing strategies.

May include minimal supervision of student workers.
Qualifications

- EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent in work experience in marketing / admissions / recruiting / customer service / administrative support
- LANGUAGE SKILLS: Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Able to write routine reports and correspondence, including reports that analyze and put current admissions data and details into perspective. Able to speak effectively before groups of customers, their parents and teachers, or employees of the organization.
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Able to read and interpret financial statements.
- REASONING ABILITY: Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE: Must posses a valid driver’s license and insurance.

Technical competencies
COMPUTER SKILLS: Able to operate word-processing, data base, and spreadsheet software. Media/art software knowledge a plus.
Interpersonal interactions
Must be comfortable interacting with supervising student workers and prospective students during visits and other events.
