Position summary
Assist with marketing Andrews online programs and recruiting of non-traditional students served online.
Qualifications summary
- A current Andrew graduate student
- Strong customer service skills including a friendly, can-do attitude and follow-through in problem solving
- Excellent spoken and written English skills
- Able to multi-task and work as a reliable team member
- Outstanding skills in organizing information, learning new technology quickly, with great attention to every detail
Duties and responsibilities
- Assist in creatively weaving important information into personable and clear messages for multiple media
- Committed to arriving on time, and completing tasks on schedule
- Proficient in or willing to rapidly learn advanced word processing, spreadsheets, and online apps for various communication and project management tasks
- Assist with phone calls, texts, social media posts, emails, and printed marketing communication preparation and monitoring
- Assist with additional student service duties as assigned
Supervisory responsibilities
Training new student workers or assistants on large projects.
Qualifications
- Excellent spoken and written English skills
- Naturally friendly, caring, proactive and clear communicator
- Advising or counseling experience preferred
- Willing to commit to at least two years in this position
Technical competencies
Preferably have experience using MS Office and Adobe Creative Cloud suites, and emerging tools to communicate, market, and recruit well.
Interpersonal interactions
Must be comfortable interacting with current and prospective students in a caring and informative way, with faculty and staff in a supporting role, and individually in a focused way to meet task deadlines. Experience living in more than one country and speaking more than one language is preferable to best communication with the divere population of students at a distance.
