Position summary

The office of the administrative assistant coordinates the administrative functions of the department in consultation with the chair.

Qualifications summary

Bachelors’ Degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience), have an understanding of the academic community. Experience in marketing, and administration are preferred. Possess excellent organizational and speaking skills.

                                 

 


Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.

Qualifications

The successful applicant will possess a passion for others and to assist students, faculty, and the greater AU community while also:



Language Skills   Ability to read, analyze, and interpret English effectively.

Mathematical Skills  Ability to do basic math, especially in the area of accounting.

Reasoning Ability   Ability to understand the functions of Andrews University and reason from cause to effect on administrative policies.

Computer Skills  Fluency is basic computer functions is required.

This position is the first face of the department; successful applicant needs to be comfortable interacting with students, faculty, and community members; 

We offer several services to students and the successful applicant will be rexponsible for the department's customer service and overseeing student labor.

Must be able to type and sit at a desk.
