Position summary

The website manager and eBook developer will maintain a book publisher’s website and convert files of printed books into eBook formats. Applicant must be a qualified, full-time student at Andrews University.

Qualifications summary

Applicant must have knowledge and experience in web management as well as skills in the preparation of eBooks. 

Duties and responsibilities

• Maintain and update website as needed, ensuring quality and efficiency


• Collaborate with staff to ensure that the website meets the organization’s needs


• Convert PDF and other documents to a variety of eBook formats

Supervisory responsibilities

Qualifications

• Meticulous attention to detail with analytical skills and outstanding problem-solving skills


• Experience in website management with an ability to troubleshoot website issues


• Education in Information Technology or a related qualification


• Familiarity with E-commerce applications and basic knowledge of security principles


• Ability to communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team

Technical competencies

• Software languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, SQL)


• Content Management Systems (CMS)


• eBook conversion software


• Adobe suite

Must be able to work collegially in an office setting with other immediate associates
